Travel Safely to Rocky Point

Traveling to Mexico can be safe, fun and stress-free if you take the necessary steps to plan your travel. There are a lot of negative news feeds regarding Mexico, some of them are true…but most of them are exaggerations for news. Statistics prove you are more likely to experience a crime in a major metropolitan area of the US than in Mexico. But let’s move on. Any travel has risk. Risk can be minimized when you plan, know your route, and take the appropriate, common sense approach to travel.

First, know where you’re going. Review the maps, check out the travel video available on our website or click the link inside your reservation confirmation form. The drive is pleasant, and the scenery is beautiful with all types of plants, wildlife, and natural beauty. Driving directions are provided including turns, routes, and landmarks. Print off the instructions and drive with confidence.

Second, take your time. Speeding accounts for more accidents and speeding tickets negatively impact your vacation. Simply, take your time, drive the posted speed limits, and if another driver wants to own the road, give it to them. (And we don’t mean a ‘salute’ of any kind!). There are posted signs along the route. Stay within the posted speed limits and you’ll have a safe, fun drive.

Third, have your passports or passport cards available at the border crossing. Review our website for information about what you can and what you can’t bring with you, coming or going. You are on vacation to Rocky Point to enjoy the beach – and that’s what the border patrol wants to know. When questions arise, simply answer the question. The border at Lukeville, AZ is open from 6AM to Midnight daily.

Fourth, when driving in Mexico you must have the appropriate car insurance. We sell it on our website. You need insurance, registration and if you rent a car, make sure the rental company knows you are going to Mexico. For Auto Insurance visit this link: http://www.seasidemexico.com/insurance.

Fifth, use your common sense and Have Fun! The sandy beach is beautiful, the water is gorgeous, and the resorts are incredible. Explore the many fine restaurants, experience the many activities available to you in Rocky Point, and use common sense when traveling in the country. If it looks pleasant, it probably is. If it looks dangerous, keep moving. If you have any questions or concerns prior to your trip, simply drop us an email with your question. We are more than happy to respond.

We look forward to seeing you in Rocky Point!
