A Greek restaurant in a Mexican beach town might seem out of place to some, but La Palapa Griego never disappoints! In fact, it is considered by many to be one of the best restaurants in San Carlos, Mexico. Restaurants don’t often afford scenic views like the one that can be enjoyed at La Palapa Griego, which is situated facing the stunning, crystal-clear waters of the Sea of Cortez. Grab a gyro or a Greek salad and eat to your heart’s content. Come for the breathtaking view, but stay for the excellent service and delicious food. You can’t go wrong with a meal at La Palapa Griego.
El Mirador de la Manga is less frequented by tourists. This off-the-beaten-path restaurant can be difficult to locate for a non-native, but it is worth the trek, as a fantastic setting for authentic local fare. This is another restaurant with a spectacular view of the sea. In fact, the word “mirador” in the restaurant’s name means “lookout” or “vantage point.” Be sure to try their specialty steaming volcanic bowls of stew made with fresh octopus, shrimp, and crab.
Delfines features fresh-caught seafood combined with the best Sonoran beef in a fine dining atmosphere. They are most well-known for their twice-aged, 1300-degree filet mignon steaks and for having the best selection of international deli sandwiches, but other wildly popular dishes include the Kung Pao Chicken, Filet Stroganoff, and Proscuitto / Asiago Chicken Pasta. You will find live music from Wednesdays through Saturdays on the Delfines stage and their new multi-level patio balcony.
