This one in particular has been called “one of the 20 most interesting courses in the world.” The Mayan Palace Resort golf course has a reputation for being the most challenging in Rocky Point, but is also breathtaking, with its enchanting desert and mountain scenery. The Vidanta Peninsula de Cortez Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-72 course is a Nicklaus Legacy design, stretching along the Sea of Cortez, and a scenic estuary. The fairways are a bit longer here than at the other two major courses. There is a pro shop and a putting green on site, as well as a bar, spa, and restaurant.
The most popular golf course in Rocky Point is The Links at Las Palomas, which bills itself as “the only real links course” in this part of Mexico. A part of the Las Palomas Golf and Beach Resort, the 18-hole, par-72 championship course is at home right in the center of Puerto Penasco’s resort area. This Rocky Point golf course was designed by famed architects Forrest Richardson and Arthur Jack Snyder, and is known for its undulating, windswept terrain, manicured greens, tranquil lagoons, and natural rolling dunes. A Nicklaus Signature course, The Club at Laguna del Mar offers 18 holes of golf situated amid saltwater estuaries teeming with wildlife, so the sights you’ll see on the course are likely to be as impressive as a hole in one! This Jack Nicklaus Signature Rocky Point golf course is moderately challenging for most players, including a greater number of traps than you will find elsewhere.
