Las Gaviotas is different from all the other resorts on Sandy Beach because all the buildings are only two stories which mean that every unit enjoys a completely unobstructed view of the beautiful Sea of Cortez. The community is much smaller than other resorts as there are only 43 units which give a much more private and intimate feel. Las Gaviotas has a lovely tropical court yard with a large swimming pool, sunbathing area with lounge chairs and a BBQ pit. The BBQ pit is a great place to grill up the catch of the day. The living room of the unit has two built in floral sofas and a blue sofa that can also be converted into a comfortable bed for two additional guests. The room also has a matching coffee, end tables and entertainment unit. The entertainment unit has a TV and DVD player. There is also a red recliner chair perfect for enjoying a little late night TV. The dining room has been furnished with a round wood table with a glass top and seating for 4 people. The chairs are a matching high back wood with soft white cloth seats. There are also floral benches on the sides of the room for additional seating. The dining room has windows all the way around which illuminate the room with natural light and provide a panoramic ocean view. The kitchen has white cabinets with complimenting tile counter tops and a matching tile back splash. The kitchen has white on white appliances which include a built in microwave, refrigerator, stove, oven and dishwasher. There are also small appliances like a coffee maker and blender. You will find that the cupboards and drawers are filled with everything needed to cook and entertain. There is a tile topped kitchen island lined with high back wood bar stools. The island is the perfect place to sit and wait for the morning coffee to brew. The master bedroom has a queen size wood framed bed with a light blue plaid colored comforter. There are matching bedside tables and dresser. Across from the bed there is a wall hung TV and DVD player for your late night viewing pleasure. On the side of the bed there is a built in dresser with cabinets. The master bathroom has a mirrored closet, stand up shower and single sink vanity with plenty of lighting and counter space. The 2nd bedroom has a queen size bed with a light blue plaid bedding set. The walls have been adorned with hand painted blue dolphins and accent shelving. There are bedside tables as well as a dresser to store your clothing. There is a nice window next to the bed so that you can leave it open at night and lull yourself to sleep with the sounds of the waves. The 2nd bathroom has a stand up shower, and a single sink vanity with plenty of counter space and storage below. The patio has been furnished with high back bar chairs perfect for enjoying a cold beer or frozen margarita. The views from the private covered patio are breathtaking. You can either watch the sunrise or sunset over the Sea of Cortez. The unit has ceiling fans throughout as well as all the comforts needed to feel right at home. You will not be disappointed with your stay in unit 444 of Las Gaviotas.
