Whale Watching

This activity occurs during the months of December and March. These enormous marine animals allow themselves to be viewed if you take a trip down the Riviera Nayarit. Release of the Turtles

This occurs between the months of August through December. This is a time when large sea turtles start coming to the beaches of Riviera Nayarit so that they can make their nests and give birth to new baby turtles. In the month of September they give birth to the baby turtles by hatching the eggs. This is the best time of year to come to Riviera Nayarit if you would really like to see a cool natural event. These hatchings occur near and around Nuevo Vallarta and Litubu. You can make arrangements with several travel agencies and hotels in the area to make sure you are able to attend this magnificent event.

If you would like to make your own souvenirs from your travels along Riviera Nayarit you can do so at many of the local jewelry making class offerings in the area. They will show you how to make different jewelry out of shells, pebbles, and all sorts of other trinkets.

Learn to make A Mummery

This happens on every Wednesday where you can learn how to make big or small creations out of paper Mache which is what they use to make piñatas and also several other features that are known throughout Carnival. This is fun to be able to create a product with your own hands and imagination and you can have the opportunity to do this if you check out the schedule of classes at the Cultural Center of Sayulita.

Polo Games

These polo games take place between the months of November through May. You can attend a match by going to the La Patrona Field which is located in San Panch. This is also a great place to taste the flavor of a great meal while you are watching the polo match.
