The small town of Barra de Navidad offers a unique charm where the rich Mexican culture meets the sea. Barra as it’s often referred to by its locals is a small beach town found in the state of Jalisco, Mexico. Located on Costa Allegre (Happy Coast) it has a small population of only 5,000 residents. This serene setting offers the ultimate in privacy and tranquility. Positioned approx. 200km south of Puerto Vallarta, Barra de Navidad offers beautiful unspoiled beaches, fabulous restaurants, and friendly people.

People are drawn to the shade covered streets and many restaurants along its sidewalks, as well as several little beach bars.

Visitors enjoy such activities as golf at Isla Navidad, one the most highly vegetated golf resorts in the world, with 27 holes available, offering spectacular, ocean, lagoon and mountain views.

Barra Navidad offers excellent sport fishing where you can catch marlin, dorado, sailfish or tuna, at one of many local fishing charters are available. There are two international fishing tournaments hosted each year in November and February.

Whereas most visitors are called for the quiet peaceful serenity, there are many more adventurous activities available from scuba diving to mountain biking, jet skiing to hiking.
